  COMPETENCIES Partner Services

By leveraging our network of trusted partners, we also offer Fabrication, Electrical & Control Systems Engineering and Instrumentation, Testing & Correlation Services alongside our design and engineering solutions. Our partners have the expertise and experience necessary to deliver high-quality services and solutions for our clients.

PROTOTYPING & FABRICATION

  • Prototype and custom parts fabrication, assembly and installation
  • Retrofits fabrication and integration
  • Steel, stainless steel, aluminum, sheet metal fabrication
  • FRP composite manufacturing
  • Shop floors having-
    • Precision machining tools
    • Laser cutting and forming machinery
    • MIG, TIG, gas welding and arc-welding systems
    • Hand layup, filament winding, vacuum infusion facilities
  • Quality assurance through adherence to AWS, AISC, IIW codes and other manufacturing standards

ELECTRICAL & CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

  • Design and documentation of wiring harnesses- layout design, routing models and installation drawings
  • Schematic and circuit design for complex controllers and closed loop control systems
  • Firmware development through manual and(or) auto-coding using Simulink
  • HMI programming- operator and maintenance screens, health and diagnostic reviews
  • Fabrication and integration of wiring harness and control systems
  • Quality assurance process:
    • Adherence to performance, safety and compliance standards
    • Hazard analysis and FMEA to ensure robustness of design
    • Rigorous pre-production tests under temperature extremes, vibration, moisture, dust ingress and electrical interference

INSTRUMENTATION & TESTING

  • Road Load Data Acquisition (RLDA), Processing and Validation
    • Unique combination of field testing and computer simulations to assess design performance and durability-
      • Identify critical load cases and important structural areas from simulations
      • Collaborate with customer to provide test plan and schedule
      • Instrument the vehicle at proving ground to collect necessary data like loads, strains, accelerations, displacement etc.
      • Record data for the planned events
      • Validate acquired data and process it to evaluate performance and durability
      • Correlate FE models to test data and use it for further product development
    • Remote and virtual testing using cloud technologies and internet
    • Equipment- SoMat, HBM, National Instruments, Channel counts from 30 to 200+
  • Material Coupon Testing
    • Identify missing critical material information
    • Work with clients to recognize key structural members
    • Coordinate with testing agencies to perform coupon testing
    • Develop material models based on test data
  • Joint Testing (Welded/Riveted/Bolted)
    • Identify critical joints and coordinate component level testing
    • Recommend hardware based on FE simulations and InDepth proprietary fastener validation tool
  • Test-to-FE Correlation
    • Work with testing agencies to understand standard test procedures
    • Replicate and correlate test procedures in FE environment to accurately predict performance
    • Use correlated FE models for further product development while minimizing the need for further prototyping and testing
